Frigid in 2010
Fredericton Frigid River Fall Adventure Race
Want to try something different? How about a four-hour Canoe/Bike/Run? For this race you will need to Canoe, Run and Mountain Bike.
The object of the race will be to find as many checkpoints on the river and in the fields & woods around the Silverwood area as possible in four hours. Each checkpoint will be worth a certain number of points, depending on its difficulty to locate. The team with the most points after four hours wins.
The race will have a$200 prize – and if the winning team locates ALL the checkpoints they will receive a $200 bonus.
The Frigid River registration & map handout is at 8:00am, with a start at 9:00am.

A new edition to FRAR has just been announced…….
12 Hour Version offered for the first 10 Teams
How? Bike and Trek….no Paddle
Cost? $30 per person
Equipment? Running/Trekking Shoes, Mountain Bike, Front White Light, Rear Red Light, Reflective Vest, and a fully charged cell phone
Start? 78 Sprinhill Road (Bob’s Shop) at 1am
Map Pick-Up? 9pm at the shop
Race Breifing? 11:15pm – this is mandatory
Bob will offer a 12 hour course at the Frigid River Race. It will be by bike and or trek, no paddle. I will accept the first ten teams of two and please only register if the team is sure they are coming so other teams aren’t left out. The race will start from my shop at 78 Springhill Road at 1:00 am Sat. Oct 2/10 and finish at Hartt Island Campgrounds at 1:00 pm. The format will be 20 check points worth 5 to 100 points. The team with the most points wins. First place $400.00. The teams will get a map and the UTM’s for the 20 CPs. If interested teams can email me at magicbob@nbnet.nb.ca
