Fredericton Frigid River Fall Adventure Race

Want to try something different? How about a two-hour or a four-hour Canoe/Bike/Run? For the four-hour race you will need to Canoe and Run, with an optional Mountain Bike. For the two-hour event, you could Canoe, Bike or Run or any combination of the three.

The object of the race will be to find as many checkpoints on the river and in the fields & woods around the Silverwood area as possible in either two or four hours. Each checkpoint will be worth a certain number of points, depending on its difficulty to locate. The team with the most points after two or four hours wins.

Both races will have a$200 prize – and if the winning team locates ALL the checkpoints they will receive a $600 bonus.

The four-hour race registration & map handout is at 8:00am, with a 9:00am Start.

The two-hour race registration will be at 10:00am with an 11:00am Start.

Location:	Hartt Island Campgrounds
Who:	Any team of two(2) that dares to take the challenge!
When:	October 3^rd, 2009 – the earlier you register that day, the longer you have to study your map
Cost:	$20 per person (cash, sorry no cheques)
Equipment:	Four-Hour Race: Running/Trekking Shoes, Mountain Bike, Canoe/Paddles/PFD and a compass. Two-Hour Race: Running/Trekking Shoes, Mountain Bike, compass, with an option for Canoe/Paddles/PFD
