9 Hours from Who’s Your Daddy Start

As of midnight June 11th or 12th, depending on how you look at it, we have 31 teams registered and 76 racers gearing up to find out Who’s Your Daddy (and Mommy). We will try to keep everyone up to date with Tweets through out the day, so keep checking back for details as they happen. You can also come out and check out the action in Oromocto, bring the kids and a lawn chair, it will be entertaining.

23 Teams are curious!

Paternity testing is only a five days away and 59 racers want to find out Who’s Your Daddy? As you may or may not be aware, the Daddy / Mommy is determined by the fastest time in the Picaroons Tire Pull. Who will it be this year? Come and find out on Saturday.

See you all soon.
cheers

WYD – Clarifications/updates

Boat Types
There has been some questions recently regarding what types of boats you can use for the Daddy. We are in the process of updating the gear list to reflect these changes. If it is a boat and does not have a motor, you can use it. Kayaks, Canoes, Tub, Row Boat, Inner Tubes, Water Wings….whatever you like, however you must have a pfd.

Race format and distances
Quite a few people have asked about the race format and distances/disciplines and so here’s the deal:
The race is organized in a Rogaine format. You will have a “Gear Stash” at the start/finish where you will be able to leave/access your bike, shoes, food, etc. This stash can be visited at any point during the race. You are free to choose what discipline(s) you do and what order you collect the checkpoints in. Our suggestion is to develop a strategy that suits your team’s strengths and that will allow you to collect the most checkpoints in the time allocated. All gear must be returned to the stash before the end of the race and mandatory gear must be carried with you at all times(see list).

Who’s Your Daddy Start Location Revealed!!!

Breaking News!!!

Natural Selection Adventure Racing has confirmed the start location of this year’s Who’s Your Daddy? 4 to 8 Hour Adventure Race. A company spokesman is on record as saying “…this year will be the funnest yet.” Although not grammatically correct, the underlying sentiment is absolutely true…..WYD10 will be the best one to date.

Start Location: 992 Onondaga Street, Oromocto, NB

Boat rentals are still available through Paul at Eco-Logical Adventures (start location). Give him a call to book your boat at 506-357-6869 or drop him an email at info @ ecologicaladventures.ca

This year we will have the awesome Tire Pull stage to determine Who’s Your Daddy/Mommy and a new surprise discipline.

Let us know if you plan on attending so we can be sure to have a set of maps for you on race day.
