The time is drawing near and we are down to less than a month for GO TIME which is exciting news. Online registration will close on June 1st, but I need you to sign up before May 29th so I can ensure you get a map set on race day…..no maps = no race.

Who’s Your Daddy?

The course for the 5th Annual Who’s Your Daddy? is coming together nicely and as such we wanted to share a taste of what you can expect at this years’ event. This year the course will consist of 3 legs: a bike leg, a canoe leg and a trekking leg, which teams will be forced to complete in that order. As always we’ll be incorporating our traditional Picaroons Tire Pull somewhere in the race to determine who is our Daddy and Mommy for 2012. Below you’ll find a description of the transition areas (TA) to get you thinking about race day logistics:

Start / Finish Area – you can park here and leave your car till the end of the race

TA1 – this is where you will stash your canoe for the paddle section and leave your bike after the bike section, if there is enough interest we will have a U-Haul available to bring your bike back to the Start area for an additional $5 fee to cover our expenses, drop us a note to let us know

TA2 – this is where you will leave you boat and leave on foot for the trek section, you will need to pick up your canoe here after the race

Finish – we will have the prizes, a BBQ and some laughs immediately following the race

Hopefully that is enough to “wet your whistle” for now, we will make more details available in the coming weeks including a map of where to park and stash your gear.

Who’s Your Daddy? 8 hour Adventure Race

Well folks, it is that time of year again, the sun is shining (most days), the trails are open for riding and running and the AR gear is getting dusted off in anticipation of this year’s events. What a GREAT time of year!!!

There have been lots of questions coming in for the 5th annual Who’s Your Daddy? adventure race. It’s hard to believe that it has been 5 years already, I guess the pressure is on to make this race just a little bit better than the last 4 years.

What can you expect in 2012? How about a shorter race for skills of all levels to introduce or re-acquaint you with one of the best sports going. This will be a great event to find out what we do in our spare time, and to see parts of our beautiful City / Province that you have not seen before.

I can’t share too much information yet, the location will be posted closer to the actual race date, but it will be in the Fredericton Area. The GEAR LIST is posted on the WYD page, and more details will come in time.

If you have any questions, please ask them, the more the merrier.
