Itsy Bitsy Spider 7

What? What? A 7hr Rogaine at Spider Lake in Dartmouth! Foot and Mountain Bike travel only…either of them are optional, but foot travel will be necessary unless you love bike whacking!

When? When? Saturday October 16, 2010…6:30am registration, 8am start, finished by 3pm at the latest!

Where? Where? At the top of Spider Lake Road off of Waverley Road.

Details: 2 person teams or more (dogs are welcome, but don’t count as a teammate), $20/person, maps, snack food (post-race), and a fun slog is all included All teams must carry a cell phone that is charged up and works, a knife, matches/lighter, whistle, compass, and food and drink for 7 hours. Shin guards would also be recommended You could plan on riding for a bit and ditching your bikes (if you choose to do so) and returning to them hours later. Wherever you ditch them, they will not be supervised and you’re doing so at your own risk. Odds are there will be some great hiding spots for them If you’re on foot, you may lose a small amount of time to the bikers initially, but that could easily even out in the long run.

Lowery Memorial Shuttle Run

Formerly the Woolastook Shuttle Run. No…..Andrew has not left us……I just figured since he starte the event but was no longer around to run it, then it should be renamed for NSAR purposes. This will be the same basic format that Andrew ran back in the day, an eight hour event during which teams or individuals may compete to see who gets the most loops completed. More details will be provided in the coming weeks but the date has been set.

Date: Sept 11, 2010
Start: 8am
Finish: 4pm
Cost: Team of 3 – $60 / Team of 2 – $40 / Solo – $25
The event will be followed by a BBQ and some war stories……details to follow.

Here they are folks, again we want to thank everyone for making this year’s race a HUGE success, can’t wait till next year. We will try and get some photos posted this week, but there are a lot to go through. It was previously noted that the winner of the Mommy was Lyn, however Lyn was so surprised that she had beaten everyone that she went back to the scene of the tire pull early Sunday morning before work to ensure she had done the entire pull. Unfortunately she discovered that she had turned around a little earlier than she should have, and called Nat immediately to let him know. Thanks for the honesty Lyn, Karma will smile on you.
